In April, the Contact Points in the Western Balkans continued to support the promotion of Erasmus+ Youth and the European Solidarity Corps through local outreach, information sessions, partnership-building, and direct support to organisations and young people across the region.
In Albania, activities included two in-person sessions and one online activity within the framework of in-house ESC support and mentoring. An Erasmus+ Capacity Building Youth session in Tirana brought together representatives of local CSOs, while further online and in-person activities are being prepared with ESC-accredited organisations, municipalities, universities, and high schools.
In Kosovo*, the Contact Point organised two in-person info sessions on ESC for young people, at UBT and the American School Kosova, as well as an online session. Additional activities included support to SHL in joining the ESC programme, a meeting with the NEO, an Open Door event during an ESC team visit, and outreach to media to further promote both programmes.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, LDA Mostar organised an Erasmus+ info day in Laktaši and an information session with the University “Džemal Bijedić” Mostar, while also meeting with local partners to explore future cooperation. A study visit for young people from BiH was hosted, and contact with the Ministry of Civil Affairs continued in preparation for a joint meeting in May. In Sarajevo, the NCM co-organised two SALTO events, promoted them online, held a consultation with a potential Quality Label holder.
