Successful implementation of “Prepare to Succeed” Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building training course by SALTO SEE Contact Point Network

The online training course Prepare to Succeed: Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building in the Field of Youth took place on 5-6 February 2025, bringing together participants from organisations across the Western Balkans and other European countries. The high number of applications received for the training course exceeded the available spots, reflecting a strong demand for capacity-building opportunities in the region. Initially planned for 30 participants, the group was expanded to 40 to accommodate more organisations eager to take part.

Over two days, participants engaged in a deep dive into the Erasmus+ Key Action 2 Capacity Building in the Field of Youth (CBY), focusing on the essential aspects of project development and application preparation. With the guidance of experienced trainers Ana Mullanji, Irena Topalli, and Mirela Kalamperović, the sessions provided valuable insights into navigating the application process and understanding the specific characteristics of CBY projects.

Key highlights of the training included:

  • Hands-on exercises in developing and structuring CBY project proposals;
  • Practical guidance on budget planning and financial management;
  • Exploration of best practices from previously approved CBY projects;
  • Good practice examples from the Western Balkans;
  • Interactive discussions and exchange of experiences among participants.

The training course strengthen the capacity of youth organisations in the Western Balkans to successfully apply for and implement CBY projects, ahead of the 6 March 2025 deadline. Through this initiative, SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre and its Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Contact Points maintained their commitment to supporting youth work and international cooperation in the Western Balkans.

We thank all participants for their active engagement and enthusiasm, and we look forward to seeing the impact of the projects from the Western Balkans they develop following this training!
